BASE21 is a coworking-, event-, and creativitiy space for freelancers, enterpreneurs, coders, designers and more to come and enjoy a well equipped work environment with a friendly atmosphere and good vibes.
BASE21 is run and managed by Robin and Joo, a Swiss-Korean married couple living in Busan.

Hi! I'm Robin, a freelance software engineer from Switzerland, and CEO of BASE21.
When it comes to desk work, I've tried many different things. From cubicle to freelancing from cafes around the world to working from the kitchen at home, I've seen it all. I came to the conclusion that finding enjoyemnt in desk work heavily depends on the environment.
This is why I wanted to build BASE21 together with my wife Joo, a place where people can come together, and enjoy working in a well equipped, chill environment, meet likeminded people, and collaborate on their next big idea.

Hey! I'm Joo, a Busan native, with a love for travel and meeting people from around the world.
After settling down in Busan again, I wanted to create a space where we can welcome travelers, make them feel at home, and share our inside information about the Gwangalli Beach region.
I started BASE21 together with my husband Robin, to turn that passion into a profession, providing a comfortable and productive environment for our guests.

I've been looking for a proper foreigner-friendly co-working place, and glad that I finally found it. Good vibes, nice snacks and drinks, even protein shakes! Cheap parking a few minutes walk from the place that only requires a little hike to go back, but that's great for health. No worries, Base21 is also right next to a subway station and busstop.

The location isn't bad, being super close to Geumnyeonsan Station and near Gwangalli. Parking isn't inconvenient either, as the Suyeong Cultural Center is within a 5-minute walk. But best of all, even though it was my first visit, the foreign owner greeted me kindly, and the welcome from the customers made it a cozy place for someone like me who loves crowded places. It seems like the perfect spot for Busan residents or workers who have trouble concentrating at home or want to chat with others. And as for the price... need I even say it?

Yes, during the opening hours. With a day pass, you can work from 10 AM to 6 PM. No time limits, no pressure to leave. Make yourself at home and work at your own pace. If you need to work outside the official opening hours, take a look at our long-term plans, they offer 24h access.
No! Once you have a day pass or membership, coffee, tea, and filtered water are unlimited and included. You never have to worry about ordering more drinks to justify your seat.
We provide free coffee, tea, and water. We also have a snack bar with some paid offerings. You're welcome to bring your own food or order delivery. We're also surrounded by great restaurants and cafes in Gwangalli for meal breaks.
